Many children in Uganda end up orphaned by at least one parent at an early age. Years of war and it’s aftermath have left it’s toll. These children are susceptible to living lives of crime just to survive. They often become victims of early marriage, rape, abuse, and tragically, even child trafficking or child sacrifice. Many of these kids have dreams of a better life. However, because of lack of funds and guidance, they have no way to achieve those dreams.
Part of our calling is to step in and provide a nurturing and safe environment and individualized educational opportunities for these children in primary or secondary school. We also work with family members or caregivers to better understand their unique challenges, maintain meaningful relationships and explore sustainable ways to improve their lives.
A child on our Harmony Life Kids! Program receives more than just school fees, uniforms, and other basic necessities. Loving staff also monitor the children and their overall health and well-being. They become part of our Harmony Life family and participate in outings and events. It is a very special way to make a difference to a child who has little hope.
$50 per month, $150 per quarter, or $600 per year is all that is required to sponsor a child and give them a brighter future.
How to Sponsor a Child!
Scroll through the photos below, select a child, and note their name. Click on the DONATE button to the left to be routed to our donations page. There you can select your Harmony Life Kids! sponsorship type (monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.)
Finally, type the child’s name in the description box and follow the prompts.
We can also choose a child for you, just enter “choose for me” in the description box instead of a specific name.
We will contact you with more information on your child and sponsorship upon receiving your first donation.
General one-time or recurring donations toward the Harmony Life Kids! Program are also welcome. We have various special needs that come up from time to time or sponsors may need to stop their sponsorship on occasion. These general donations can help offset some of these costs.
Don’t hesitate if you fee led! ~ the harvest great, but the workers are few ~
University/Vocational Level students
We have on-going need for University or vocational student tuition and fees. The fees and degree requirements and duration for these programs vary greatly depending on the field of study. We believe in finding ways of providing scholarships for students who show interest, need, and determination to further their education. We accept donations toward a specific child or to our general post-secondary tuition fund. Typically Vocational programs are approximately $700 – $1,000 per year and University Programs can range from $1,000 to $3,000 annually. We also have opportunities where a group of several people can sponsor one student in their education, paying smaller amounts each.
